Finding my Skinny Self

My skinny self has been lost for several years but I was close to finding her a little over a year ago. I had been exercising 6 days a week and loving it! I was eating right and had a great plan in place. Then my Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Vulvar cancer. The news was absolutely devastating and in approximately 14 months I lost my Mom to cancer.

In all the stress and sorrow that comes with a family member struggling, I gained nearly 80 pounds! This was on top of my already heavier body. Mom and grandma, who I call Mama, have been very worried about my weight gain. Mama even tells me, "Andrea, you have a fat a$$!"

I want to make my Mom proud and take a worry off Mama's shoulders as well as feel good about myself. Therefore I am committing to finally finding my skinny self again.

My Working Girl's Diet Plan

  1. Create a vision board to define where I'd like to see myself at the end of this journey
  2. Write down the commitments I will make to myself and look at them daily
  3. Formulate a sensible eating plan that fits with my working girl schedule
  4. Create an exercise plan that fits with my working girl schedule
  5. Start losing!

I plan to share my journey at www.eatingwithandrea.com to keep myself honest and hopefully inspire someone else.
